CE Basics
This half-day seminar presents an overview of European technical harmonization and the CE marking product compliance system. “CE Basics” is designed to help manufacturers, suppliers, and other product oriented organizations better understand the benefits, challenges and implications of CE marking. Other topics include European marketing and distribution considerations and European trends in regulation and conformity assessment such as environmental initiatives (such as WEEE, RoHS, REACH etc.).

Instructor
CITRA's Technical Director, Dr. David Hanson, will guide through this interactive and informal seminar. Dave Hanson is an Associate Professor of International Business at the School of Business, Duquesne University. Dave has a Ph.D. from the University of Florida, a J.D. (cum laude) from the University of Michigan Law School and a BA from Haverford College. He has published extensively on CE marking and international trade regulations and visits leading EU policy-makers in Brussels on a regular basis.
